The first event of the inaugural WTF Grand Slam took place in Palamos, Spain from 17-19 April, kicking off an exciting new chapter for the class.
The Grand Slam Leg 1, the Mediterranean Finn Cup, didn’t start easy: day one brought no wind and plenty of patience on shore. But sailing always finds a way to reward perseverance. Valerian Lebrun took the early lead in the light conditions, though did not win a race. They went to Simon Bovay, Laurent Hay and Paul McKenzie.

Sjön ligger i Engadin, på en höjd av 1 800 meter över havet. Regattacentret ligger vid sjöns övre ände nära Sils i Engadin.

Finn Swiss Championship 2026 

Genom projektet Allmän Omstart skapas möjligheter till gemenskap, aktivitet och engagemang i föreningslivet. Klubbar får stöd att starta och utveckla verksamhet som gör seglingen mer tillgänglig för äldre.

In it's inaugural year the WTF Grand Slam has an intentional European focus and includes many of the iconic class events and venues along with some enticing new venues. The concept is simple – encourage participation, showcase the class, highlight the class rock stars and have some Finn fun.

2026 WTF Grand Slam 

You are most welcome to the Swedish west coast and the beautiful summer town of Varberg with excellent sail racing areas right outside the harbour.
The regatta will be hosted by Varbergs Segelsällskap – Varberg Sailing Society https://www.varbergssegelsallskap.se/
The sailing cllub has a long history of organizing major championships in various classes. In 2024 they arranged the 505 World Championship.
Varberg is a growing town on the Swedish west coast (60,000 citizens). Here the rocky coast of the northern west coast meets the flat beaches of the southern west coast. The surfers love the beaches, and the big waves and dinghy sailors enjoy the open sea conditions of Varberg. Many tourists visit Varberg during the summer, so we strongly advise the sailors and their families and friends to book accommodation early.
